Volvo has updated its XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge EVs for the global market. More powerful electric motors and bigger, longer-lasting battery packs are now incorporated. For the updated XC40 and C40 Recharge, the single motor model's range has increased by 32 km, while the twin motor model's range has increased by 64 km.

The time it takes to charge from 0% to 80% has been reduced from 27 minutes to 10 minutes thanks to the update's faster charging rate of up to 200kW for the Recharge Twin models. Although the dual-motor version cranks out 402 bhp, the front and rear motors now each produce 161 bhp and 242 bhp. The single-motor variant now produces 235 bhp, up from 228 bhp.
